The Royal Order of the Smoking Fish is an organization founded in 2006 AD by an elite group of erudite fisherman dedicated to enjoying the science and art of fishing.

The organization was formed by a group of six adventurers caught up in the pursuit of fresh water game fish in the wilds of Northern Canada. The trip was described by one of the four who actually made it back as “at least as much fun as my tour in Vietnam”.

The organization has grown since its beginnings and every year the group yields to the call of the wild and returns to Canada partly to fish and partly to search for their missing comrades. The group is dedicated to the science of fishing, the nuances thereof, and the art of having fun.

This site records the (mis)adventures of the group and lists information which may or may not make you a better fisherman.

Membership is by application and approval, followed by the one time initiation fee and annual dues. Members are invited to send photos of interesting fishing experiences.
